CHRIS CASE - Atlanta http://www.myspace.com/samadha Truthlove Music- The ongoing musical adventures of Chris Case and his rouge gallery of soulful sidemen. Samadha aims for a median of timelessness with one foot planted firmly in the traditions of the past and one in the processes of the future. Music that exists not to glorify the performer but to tap the source of all sound. A celebration, a simple melody, the sound of truth. Listen.... Followed by...
CLAN DESTINED - Atlanta http://www.myspace.com/clandvjc GroundLiftMag.com says "Clan Destined are like the Batman Utility Belt or Swiss Army knife of hip hop – in as much as they’re multi-functional in a compact package. The duo, the cleverly named DJ AmbiDextrous aka AmDex & DT (who hail from Atlanta & Hickory, North Carolina respectively) collaborate in equal measure as MCs, DJs, producers & musicians. Harsher critics might say, ‘it’s not a good thing to try and be all things to all people’. I’d say that multi-tasking is no mean feat, particularly when it’s done adroitly, as these guys show they’re capable of." -Vie Marshall And THENnnnn....
NEWBERRY JAM - Atlanta http://www.myspace.com/newberryjam The Newberry Jam project originated in the Fall of 2004 when guitarist Ian Newberry, a student enrolled in Georgia State University’s esteemed Jazz Studies program, and percussionist Radley Fricker held jam sessions at Ian’s house in Home Park. Many gigs later, NBJ participated in the first hip-hop superevent now known to Atlanta as The Breaks, and have been a featured act at each successive one. Since its inception, Newberry Jam has shared the stage with Dubconscious, Ike Stubblefield, Jeff Sipe, Colonel Bruce Hampton, Mike Dillon’s Go-Go Circus, The Bridge, Yonrico Scott, Natti Love Joys, and many others. May 2008 marks their return as performers at the North Georgia-based festival RootsFest. Their full-length release is scheduled to drop in the latter portion of 2008. In Closing...
CHARLIE PAZINETS - Atlanta http://www.myspace.com/charliepazinets AKA "THA MAD GENIUS" has had too many careers in this industry to name. He has started his own record label (Abstract Logic Recordings) Produced and mastered several albums including 2 from his own band, the digitally organic trio Random Rabbit. He placed 4th out of a field of 30 in Atlanta's 2007 Laptop Battles. 3rd place went to his band mate Provine. Charlie has forgotten more about Ableton Live then most people are going to learn in a lifetime. I wish I could tell you what Charlie was going to play each month but even he doesn't know. I don't think I've seen anybody enjoy what he does more that homeboy. Charlie will close out the show each month with his interpretation of the theme but he's gonna do it on slammin Charlie P terms. We are going to leave him plugged in the whole show to be our 'segway' between acts. He is gonna be the glue that holds this thing together. LIVE BROADCAST!! - That's right this show will be available all over the world. link will be posted @ apachecafe.info the day of the show (But you better be in Urp or have a damn good reason for not being at this show in person) Hope to see you out on my dancefloor Atlanta, Turner FRIDAY May 16th, 9pm @ Apache Cafe $10, Doors at 9pm http://www.metrognomeagency.com http://www.abstractlogicrecordings.com http://www.atlantadubstep.com http://www.apachecafe.info April 18th @ Apache Cafe in Atlanta
